Body work

The Ute as purchased:

The roof had already been chopped

But Badly, roof cut in 4 sections and then sections of

1.6 mm steel welded under the gaps then filled with bog filling the gaps

Cut out all the old roof except about 4" from the edge

Use a roof section from a sedan, weld in.

Skim of bog

Fitting of the rear window.

after the chop the rear window was long and narrow, so a cut down

sunroof was made to fit.

The window will open and can also be removed if required

Three windscreen wipers set up

2 speed wiper motor mounted behind fire wall

Body ready for paint. Cabin is finally in black base coat, doors are also done, to get it straight took a lot longer than I expected, but the result was worth the effort.
Glass original and cut

6mm rod welded to leading edge of bonnet, this will stop the flex and cracking which happens with original bonnets. Front edge of bonnet re shaped
Trial fit of billet Grill bars, 8 bars in total 5mm thick.
